Applied VHDL Course

What is VHDL? >>

Course Summary

The Applied VHDL training course provides comprehensive, practical and structured VHDL language and application training.

A wide range of VHDL digital component models are captured, simulated, synthesised and implemented (on FPGA hardware) using a range of modular and structured exercises.

Presentation material relates drectly to practical work.

Use of script-based automation and file-driven VHDL testbenching.

Development of a hardware (FPGA) image processing system, host and memory interface.

Reinforcing digital hardware design concepts and hardware implementation skills through:

  • Use of a structured design, documentation, test and implementation methodology throughout
  • Reviewing of synthesised VHDL schematic netlists
  • Feedback and discussion

High productivity though the use of VHDL projects and model templates, file-driven VHDL test-benching and script-based simulation.
